WormBase has been updated to the WS159 release of the database. New in this release are 2270 new expression patterns. In the next few releases, we will be introducing a new controlled vocabulary to describe phenotypes. The next release of the database — WS160 — will be our seventh “frozen” release.
New additions to WormBook
WormBook has recently published several additions to WormMethods including: Genetic balancers, Genetic dissection of developmental pathways, Reporter gene fusions, and RNA in situ hybridization of dissected gonads. Additionally, a neurophysiological methods section containing: Neurophysiological methods in C. elegans: an introduction, Imaging the activity of neurons and muscles, and Electrophysiological recordings from the pharynx has just been added.
