This month, WormBook has added three new chapters. Our coverage of nematodes other than C. elegans has been expanded by the addition of “Biology and genome of Trichinella spiralis” to the Genetics and genomics section. Additionally, “The sensory cilia of Caenorhabditis elegans” has been published in the Cell biology section and “Heterotrimeric G proteins in C. elegans” is now available in the Signal transduction section. nGASP update
Expanded training data including repeat sequences, alignment orientation, and updated protein alignment files have been posted on the nGASP website. The deadline for Phase I has been extended to Dec. 31, 2006.
New release of WormBase: WS166
WormBase has been updated to the WS166 release of the database.
Introducing the Worm Community Forum
WormBase and WormAtlas are pleased to introduce the Worm Community Forum (WCF). The WCF is an online forum for posting job openings and meeting announcements, discussing puzzling results, getting help with troublesome protocols, and discussing anything related to the world of worms. October additions to WormBook
Two new chapters have been added to the Neurophysiological methods section of WormBook: “Culture of embryonic C. elegans cells for electrophysiological and pharmacological analyses” and “Electrophysiological recordings from the neuromuscular junction of C. elegans“.
