Some of you might have noticed problems recently with WormMart.
We’re happy to report that we have identified the source of these problems and are quickly working to resolve them. To do so, we’ll be taking WormMart offline this evening. We hope to have the problem resolved by 10PM ET (GMT -5).
For all dedicated WormMart users, you may have noticed that it hasn’t been updated in awhile.
Well, we’re happy to report today that we’ve resolved the bottleneck that was keeping us from updating WormMart in a timely fashion.
Today we’ll be adding the WS200 instance of WormMart. In the next few weeks, we’ll add instances for the WS205 and WS210 frozen releases. Finally, we will again be updating WormMart for each new release.
Due to scheduled maintenance, elements of WormBase will be unavailable for short periods this weekend. WormBase will be unavailable starting Saturday Sept 22 at 7AM GMT-4. The service interruption could last several hours. In preparation, the WormBase Wiki and Worm Community Forums will be unavailable from Friday evening at 9PM GMT-4. Will apologize for any inconvenience this interruption may cause.
Around 10:30 PM EDT 21 May, a major fiber optic cable was severed, disrupting internet service to customers in New York and New Jersey, including CSHL and WormBase.
Service has now been restored. We are testing all available WormBase services at the moment and should have complete service restored within the hour.
